She was bathed in the light of the moon
her body bare as she stood in the garden
and I joined her before the first drops of rain
as I put my hands upon her fair shoulders

She lifted her hair so I could kiss her neck
as I ran my hands slowly down her hips
where they swayed gently to my heartbeat

I pressed myself into the pages of her book
and devoured all of the chapters of her soul

From cover to cover I covered her in kisses
reading voraciously from her heart to mind
and the vibrations that echoed from her body
telling me that her love was forever mine
proving to me what she could never hold back
in the same way that she reinvented me
in the likeness of her gentle loving

Under the moon I leaned her to my chest
and felt the firm fullness of her breasts
caressing and squeezing the weight of them
as they gave way and jiggled under my palms
while the warmth of our breath merged into one
condensing within the skin of our souls

Her fingers and her kisses were firestarters
igniting everything that she would touch
consuming me with incinerating passion
with flames that licked at the soul of me

And there I would be reborn in the smoke
that quickly rose to the fabric of heaven
saturating every thread of my arid dreams
from the dim lit balconies under the moon
where the Gods assembled in the audience
to witness firsthand the passion of our love
