We can only hope that there are a lot of these heroes around.
Honey, get up. Time for school. “Oh, Mom, let me sleep a bit more.” Breakfast is on the table. Up and at ‘em. “Oh, Mom, give me a break. I’ll eat at school. Buy a coke; A bag of fries.” No way, Jose. Orange juice, A slice of melon; A bowl of Whole wheat cheerios awaits This prince charming Before he board the Chariot ride Toward his future. How was your day, honey. Can’t hear me. Take that iPod connection Out of your ears. That doesn’t go to school. Give it. “Oh, Mom, What do I have to do? Get on my knees and beg. I can’t live without music Filling my head until I’m dead.” That gizmo gets Locked up in solitary For thirty days and nights. “I need one of those cell phones That takes pictures, mom.” No! “Hey mom, do you know how much I love you? Can I watch reality TV tonight?” Not until you’ve finished your homework, Love child, And match the homework hotline. You can’t pull wool over my head. After homework, read an hour from that book We bought Saturday. “Oh, Mom, reading is boring. I have to check my E-mails; visit YouTube. I’d rather shop for clothes.” What am I going to say? “No!” It’s nine. Time for bed. Groan! “Okay, Mom, Okay! Don’t hassle me. I’m going. My friends Feel sorry for me. I never watch TV Till midnight like them. I’m missing out on life, Mom. A little 14 year old boy at barbeque tonight told me. My Mother cannot keep up with all the technology and advanced things I buy. He had something I cannot remember the name, but it was an electronic sort of thing. I know what he means, cause I could not understand what it was he was carrying around either and messing with.

This was funny, Lloyd! I think in comparing the kids of olden days with the kids of nowadays, the olden days kids have better communication with their parents. Advancement in technologies doesn't necessary make better people.
