Something happened to me today, while slumbering I did lay.
Asleep in my recliner on This Glorious Christmas Day.


REM's were clicking in, my eyes rolled hard...they lurched.
Of day's gone past, hours turned, I was on a special search.

As I reached my arms out wide, I felt a familiar hand
Touching me upon my face, I jumped...I saw me stand!

Before me stood this child of God, so gently smiling down
Gasping, weeping I sat down and motioned him my way.

"Sit here, Beau, upon my lap and tell me what you know.
Are you here on a mission, like my Mom...5 years ago?
She came to tell me in a dream, my Grannie's time was near
Then Grannie went to be with Mom...please, don't make me sob."

"Ah, Grannie, please...please don't fret...I've not come to take away.
I just came to hug your neck on This Glorious Christmas Day."

He sat upon my lap and laughed...like he did when he was small
He kissed me on my cheek and said, "GE, it's time for me to go.
I've been summoned to return, it's another persons' turn
To come and hug the one they love while in a special dream."

REM's were shattered...my dream came to an end
Or was it more than just a dream, did Beau come by  my way?

To hug my neck and kiss my cheek, on This Glorious Christmas Day
