In God I trust
in life, that is a must
believe or you're left in the dust
blown away with the wind's gust
Non-believers will rust
only seeking what they lust
Following a system so unjust
fight for freedom or bust

Evil spirits run amok
swinging negativity like a boxer
You try to bob, weave and duck
but your spirit is technically knocked out
Having faith in man
will leave you constantly in doubt

God's your oyster
and you're the pearl
protecting us from the madness
of this material world
Don't journey alone
you'll get lost and fall in the trap
Have faith in "the power"
always carry your spiritual map
That intuitive guide
which lies inside
that gives clear directions
but we don't listen
we choose to run and hide

Then we wonder why our life is a mess
and why it seems like everyone but YOU is blessed
and why God is constantly putting YOU to the test
and why YOU continuously lack happiness

We have to keep the faith
be steadfast and strong
because after the sunshine
there must come a storm
But God is there to protect us from the pouring rain
we must trust and believe
or the trials in life can drive you insane
the rain won't last long
the sun will beam through the pain

I know that in my hands lies my destiny
and I am going to seize every opportunity
I'm going to give the world the best of me
and use my God given talents and abilities
