Now at age seventy-seven, 

my lady and myself,

both whom may be considered...

actually both,

my lady and myself

are considered as "older",

"older" however

does not mean passionless,

for we,

as those not yet considered as "older'

may wonder of "older" passion,

for now passion may have a different meaning.

For now the sense of the warmth of my lady,

for now the sense of the warmth of myself,

still closeness and touch are with us

though the sight and feel of her

though the sight and feel of me

still move our humanistic senses

the passion of now

may not mean the breathless,

sharp release of our yesterdays

but more so the ongoing sense of wonder,

more so the ongoing sense of being held

body to body, flesh to flesh

closely within the arms of one so dearly loved.

The need of fulfillment for the one loved

the need of self-fulfillment still there,

but in a softer sense

for the physiological changes within

my lady and within myself

do not always allow for the

breathless, sharp release of our yesterdays

but always for the sense of wonder,

always for the ongoing sense of being held

body to body, flesh to flesh.
