Love Now, Sex Now

Understand, please,

speaking for only myself,

sex now different as,

me near seventy-eight

she near sixty-eight

Now thought of

in different terms.

Sex thought of now;

though passion still there,

Sex thought of now

more so as an act of love

than  that of ultimate passion.

Speaking for only myself,

sex now thought in

terms of closely held,

personal quiet intimacy.

Sex now rarely concluded

as those long gone younger days.

In honesty,

more often than not,

concluded now

without sexual  gratification .

However,

understand, please,

speaking for only myself,

these loving times of…

These loving times of

personal quiet intimacy:

of nude body to body,

chest to breast,

mouth to mouth interludes

with barely heard

whispered words of love,

though most probably

most usually

concluded without sexual  gratification,

understand, please,

speaking for only myself,

though different

love now,

sex now

as sweet as those younger days.
