Ever wonder who the real master is?


Beep! Beep! Beep!


My alarm attempts
to drag me
from my dreams.
I resist, I refuse
My fantasies are
a sweet enticement.
I stroll a universe
that admires me.


Beep! Beep! Beep!


Sleep breaks suddenly.
Breath departs in a burst.
A crushing weight has
settled on my chest.
My sleep-glazed eyes open.
I am under a tyrant's scrutiny.


(Deep heartfelt sigh)


"All right, kitty. 
I'll feed you."
