Thunderstorms & making love go hand in hand. . .just a romance fantasy

Poem Artwork

          It was storming out tonight
          No power, only candlelight
               I love thunderstorms,
                  the smell of rain,
               rain treading the roof
               and the window panes

                   I have a fireplace
                    Plenty of wood
                  Waiting to be loved
by that hot cauldron of heat
                   Wanting your love
                 To make us complete

                 We've waited for this
                Our patience gone awry
                    For we are young
                     No turning back
                    Eyes have spoken
                       Lips carressed

                     You undressed me
                        As I did to you
                          We lingered
                         With curiosity
                     Touching our bodies
                     Feeling the bliss. ..

                       It felt like heaven
                        Had intervened
                      Words were silent
                          Sightless eyes
                      Our love found us
                     Without compromise

                    Passion fuels the flames
                      Fire is out of control
                         Bodies and souls
                             become one
                       I love thunderstorms,
                          the smell of rain. ..
