Living Weightless

How pure this burden of weight

Some call isolation

Others deem connection

To the sometimes-slow erosion of falsehood

To walk upon paths of nature’s blending

That sometimes-circuitous route asking one

Accept disappointment

Embrace the lessons hard fought

Accept a leaf that reluctantly floats to its demise

Knows well the feather that follows

All life’s lessons deliver with regret

Conscious that without mistakes

There is less learned

And so it is with love

Hard fought

Genuinely earned

Rejoice

For it is not for me

Or you

To possess

It is life’s weightless

Amorphous wonderment

Reserved for those

Who might admit defeat

Yet know

Teachings are only valid

For those who seek

One’s realm of fragile understanding

Weightlessness

How beautiful love’s reality
