Creation's Translucent Shell

by Odin odin@aflx.com — Read all 3,869 poems by Odin odin@aflx.com

Sometimes a work of art can take one to unexpected regions of the mind. Such was the case on first viewing Vladimir Kush’s “Sunrise by the Ocean” a surrealist birth. http://www.vladimirkush.com/home.php

Poem Artwork

Creation’s Translucent Shell

Resting upon ever-changing terrain,
fissures of the interminable warm fluid

fiords carve paths through destiny’s flotsam,
the distant past of unchartered happenstance.

Sudden awakening asks,
“Are we not but a universe of questionable life
destined for borderless answers,
to be the history of secrets unspoken,
fated with identity’s concealment
the ever-changing shape of
shadows forged from chance?”

Still...

For others

“Does not our personal unknown reach out,
confronting manufactured answers too simple,
even as we are dismissed as bothersome intrusions,
suggesting our questions thread worn?”

Yet…

The unanswerable remains tenacious,
believing secrets never lie,
that among endless beginnings,
eventual verity provides the light,
delivering shorter and shorter shadows.

Believing life’s mysterious secret
is merely Patience preparing another random crack,
webbing the translucent shell of creation,
where eggs-ethereal continue to be nurtured
for yet more of the infinite unanswerable.”

Life is certainly complex and difficult to understand… Why I just choose to accept what sciencee has, so far, found out and not engage in wild assumptions that make it all so simple yet totally bogus when looked at with some scrutiny. One reason why scientists are so interested in seeing if they can find life on other worlds like Mars. If so, that will change the equation for how much life there is in the universe.

Whether or not it was the chicken or the egg is not worth chasing. We are here and we exist. We think, and should think in positive, constructive ways if we are going to continue life beyond this planet or end it here from our avarice and neglect.
