The first thing I do in spring is open the windows and tear the dirty plastic away, and I let the sun in...

Each summer is like a rebirth for my soul, a new book to write, a new movie to enjoy. Soon my poems will blossom while birds outside my window are singing enthusiastically
from their many meal time choices, I'll watch the trees change from fall-like brown and orange pumpkiin to springy green and daisy yellow right before my eyes, and I will kneel and
give thanks as I struggle out of my skin like a sleepy poet ready to dangle metaphors from my pen, dreaming of the many lovers who will come together this spring in song, giving birth
to new love and a third moon, we will all drink more, eat more, and feel more, so privileged to be more than human.
