This poem reflects on our journey and relationship with Jesus.
Come said Jesus to me Your heart is what I ask and your soul Your heart beating with mine Your heart beating with the dance The dance of freedom The dance of giving your all to me without looking back Yes, my dear one I ask much I even give you the cross But let us dance Even with the cross! Dance until the dance is done, and then , and then my beloved We will dance when you are home.

I had a couple of different thoughts when I read this...the first was that so often people believe that following God's teachings are prohibitive and too confining...when in reality, following His footsteps grants us freedom...a beautiful paradox!
The second thought I had was about taking the Lord's cross...I guess I never thought of it that way before. I often think of the scripture about taking His yoke upon us...for it is light and He will give us rest... Are they one and the same? hmmm...
