United With God!

This is a poem that reflects on a holy encounter with God

Deep in the heart is a sound of silence

Oh, you might not hear it at first

but close your eyes and go deeper

even deeper, where there aren't any thoughts

or feelings, only silence

There is God!

In the emptiness

In the nothingness

Everything that has gotten in

your way of experiencing God is gone

Only your spiritual nakedness

Showing all of you

weaknesses and all

Nothing hidden

Now God can consume you

with compassion and peace

Now you are united (if only

briefly) with God

Thanks be to God!

God is there for us always. I do need to keep being reminded of that fact even though I believe. He is so great it seems sometimes we are too busy for time with him. But god is great all the time. As the saying goes. Merry Christmas to you nd yours.
