Can Do Attitude!

This is a poem that reflects on the children's book The Little Red Engine, and how it can have meaning as an adult.

Did you ever read the story

of the Little Red Engine?

It was going up the

steep hill saying

I think I can, I think I can

Even though it is a children's

story, it seems to have a deeper

meaning as an adult

Having the attitude of thinkng

I CAN do things and CAN get

through things is pretty profound

Of course it helps knowing

I am not doing it on my own

because Jesus is with me

So, maybe the more truthful

phrase is I think WE can

Or even better, I KNOW we can
