Confronting Our Challenges

If you are like me sometimes you just want to run away from challenges or worries. This poem reminds me that I must deal with challenges.

Do you ever want to fly away?

To be as free as the birds

and lift your wings and soar?

Imagine the freedom and

serenity of flying away from

from all the worries and challenges

STOP!As nice as that would be

flying away from our challenges

only makes them larger

when we come back from

running away

To fly like the birds, sounds

nice and poetic, but

we have to confront and deal

with our challenges

Then at night we can

rest and pray in the

loving embrace and welcome of God

Very true. I once heard someone say that circumstances are like mattresses. One must never find themselves under the circumstances(mattress) but on top of them. So, face it and climb on top of it. It is much more comfortable.

This was an inspiring write. Yes, sometimes we have to be brave and meet life's challenges head on. For after that we will experience joy, victory, and satisfaction.
