This is a poem that reflects on a child being born and the joy and responsibilty that brings.

A child was born

one dark dreary night

The father stood by in awe

as he watched his baby being born

Mom and dad with their

wonderful little girl

Oh what joy they felt

when they saw their miracle

But even before the blessed event

much was going on

God was creating

a new life with great care

The hand, legs,head, all

had to be done with his love

But the most important  part

or should I say the two most

important parts were being created

with very special care

The heart and soul

with the seed of love that

God provides

As a family and as a community

we must nuture and help this child

so her heart and soul will

become so immersed in love

that the seed planted will

grow much fruit

You have described with your beautiful choice of words exactly how I feel about my two children! They are adults now, and the emotions are still the same. I wonder at what beautiful hearts and souls they have...Great job.
