Keeping the Dream Alive!

This is my reflection for today. I am gong to be speaking at our County Board of Supervisors today to advocate for people who have severe mental illness.These words seem to come to me.My main point in my speech there today will ne hope and possibilities. Wish me luck!

Dreaming of each one feeling loved

Dreaming of everyone having a chance to thrive

Dreaming of all families living in peace

Dreaming of no one being alone

Dreaming of each child feeling joy

Dreaming of each older adult being respected and cherished

Dreaming of forgiveness and understanding

Dreaming of  love that is stronger than

any hate or lack of caring

Each day dreaming that in some

small way to keep this dream alive!

I think what you speak of is our ability to "put ourselves in the other person's shoes."

Greed should never be allowed to over ride our sense of duty, and empathy.
