Mother Teresa always saw Jesus in the poor. This is a poem that goes along with that belief. This is a true story.

He would walk and people

would wonder what was wrong with him

He talked to himself and seemed to be

in his own world

Even the people who were his

supports dismissed much of what he said

He would ramble on wtih his words

yet he seemed friendly and said hello

to all he met

As I was walking and saw him

he seemed to be focused on his

conversation with his voices

and I wondered if it would even

make sense to say hi

I wasn't sure he would even

realize I was there

But something  urged me

to acknowledge and welcome him

As I said hi he looked up

His eyes looked very clear

and was able to look right at me

and said " Jesus loves you"

There was something in his eyes

Somethng in his voice that seemed

familiar and loving

You know what?

I think I met Jesus that day

very interesting. I saw a woman in a cafeteria the other day who was talking to herself. She even said or heard something in her mind that made her laugh very hard. Wish I had taken your example and spoke to her, but I didn't.

This is beautiful, I always admired Mother Teresa, for doing everything she did, she was truly a woman who lived by what we should all live by, live as Christ lived

Cindy,

Very interesting. I've often wondered if Jesus were here today, would we welcome him or throw stones. After all, a cast out from society, that talks strangely...He could indeed be among us and we'd never know.
