Jesus, today we reflect on your passion
How you followed God
even as people spit and mocked you
and finally hanging you on a cross
As we read and reflect may
I be open to any word or
insight that you would like me to hear
When I read to the congreation
may I do so with an open and willing heart
to proclaim your message with the fire
of the Holy Spirit and touch someone
so they can follow their path of faith
May the words I proclaim and reflect upon
make an effect in my life
so that they are not just words
but are consumed within me and
lived daily with joy
Thank you for letting us be
with you in your darkest yet
most loving day in such an intimate way

Just yesterday I went to an Easter play, "The Power of the Cross" at a friend's church (she came by and picked me up; she was in the choir); it was wonderful! I have now seen it twice; it's an awesome play!! And today I am going to church like per usual every Sunday; can't wait! :)
