Where are you going my little one

How fast you grow up

One day I am holding you in my arms

The next I am watching you

go on your first date

You and I have a bond that is holy

You came from me

But I must tell you

You were not born

because of me

You were born because of Jesus

He created you and loved you

He gave you a heart full of love

I have seen you loving others

Let that grow 

Yes, you will get hurt at times

Don't let that stop you!

You must descern who to

trust and who is ready to love

Some people aren't ready to love

To those you still love

but you will  have

boundaries so they don't abuse you

They are usually people who are

hurting in some way

So, as I watch you

I say to myself

Thank you Jesus

for this wonderful miracle

you have given me
