Resting in Jesus

My night prayer

You are tired

Lay your head on my shoulder

Let me sooth your longing heart

Your  heart

has been working hard

You have loved well

Now it's time to rest

Calm your heart and soul

Let me hold them in my hands

I will place your heart in mine

then return it for you

Together they will beat as one

Your soul will feel the compassion and

courage of my hands

Your soul will become strong in my love

This will happen as you sleep

So, rest and sleep knowing you

will wake up with a new heart

and your soul will  find strength

Good night my child

Good night
