The sun is going to bed

The light slowly fades as

darkness comes

The cycle of light and dark

Isn't that the pattern of our lives

At times our faith seems so clear

We feel the presence of Jesus

and all is well with the world

We find it easier to be compassionate

Then an incident may happen

It may be a tragedy or just the daily

struggles of life

We question how God could let this happen

We wonder where God is

We feel like we are trying

to walk in the dark

and loving becomes difficult

However, it is those times

in which we discover our true faith

We search out heart and soul

We look deep for strength and healing

Then is where we find another

cornerstone of our faith

Then is where we build a strong foundation

and learn much about ourselves

Then is where we true ly

surrender to God's will

When the sun comes out again

we are even more joyful

because our faith is stronger and

our love is deeper

Such is the cycle of faith
