I don't have children, but I imagine this is what a mother might feel. I appologise to you fathers. I know your love for your children is just as strong.
Sleep my little one sleep You are a wonder of God I sing my song of love and pray you keep safe and warm You are a miracle that brings such joy Rocking you to sleep I think of how blessed I am You are my heart You are the sun in my life No matter how old you are you will always be apart of me You were within me before you were born We will always have a bond that is deeper than any human relationship So, sleep my child Dream of how much I love you

This is so warm and spiritually beautiful. When my children were babies, I gave each their own song and would softly sing it to them every night before bed. As they grew they would sing with me after prayers. My youngest son was "You are my sunshine" and like the others as he grew older would sing it back to me. The time is long gone, but sometimes I catch myself humming the same tunes over and over. What a wonderful piece you have written here.
