How can I thank you Jesus?
I have been alive sixty years
as of today
Sixty years of being part of
your creation in the world
You have loved me and
cried with me when times were hard
I thank you for my heart
which you have placed
with yours to give me strength
I thank you for my soul which
is the truth of who I am
I even thank you for my weaknesses
and the trials I have encountered
Only during those times
have I realized I need you
I don't know how many years
I will be here
I do know you are with me
May my life be devoted to you
May my life be one of love
and understanding for all
