The Light That Leads Us Out of Darkness

I hesitated writing this poem, because it is a little like the earlier one I did today- yet- it still seemed to kind of urge me to write it. The words just seemed to come.

When the dark seems as if it

will never end and the night

covers you with sadness and dispair

There is a light of hope and love

There is a way to experience the night

yet have a light to show you the way to

a stronger faith

and a compassion beyond

your wildest dreams

This is the light of Jesus

This is the way

to truth and wisdom

Let his wonderful eternal light

enlighten you with courage and love
