I was thinking about Paul from the Bible saying he had finished the race.That is what prompted the poem.
Finish the race of faith
Rest if you must
Come to me when you
are thirsty for wisom and strenght
Go to fellow runners
for support when you feel
your legs getting weak
Enjoy the scenery
and cheer on your friends
Pick them up when they fall
and give them water
of encouragement and love
when they are thirsty
Then when you come to
the end of your race
You will be able to be
with your Creator for eternity
