Hold me as
if you will
never let me go

I long for the
touch of your love
My soul yearns for your embrace

How long until
I feel the gentleness
of your care and compassion

How long before
my heart finds rest
And my soul is at peace

I cry from
the depths of my being
My tears flow without ceasing

Then I feel the
tenderness of your hands
as they wipe away my tears

You hold me
as a mother
holds her child

You brush the
hair from my eyes
and you gaze into my heart

“I know you are in pain.
I know the sadness and
loneliness you live’

Then you say,
“Close your eyes
my beloved and come with me.”

I close my eyes and
you carry me to
a wondrous ocean

The moonlight is
shining on the water
The stars shine with hope

You let go of me
and then you
point to the moon

“See how bright the light is?
That is just a small portion
of my light within you.”

Then you put your arm around me
“This light has more love than
you could imagine

This light has strength and
courage and will provide faith
larger than the ocean

As I touch your heart
with my hand this light
will become stronger within you.”
