May we be your song.

Blessed is the song of Jesus

Holy is the hymn of love

May we venerate the

heavenly song within our soul

The sublime singing of Jesus

alive in our heart

waiting to be music for the world

Can we hear the devotional song

In the silence of the night?

Can we hear his passion in our soul

and our longing and desire to be his song?

Jesus may we become your aria

As we sleep tonight may we

rest in the lullaby of your womdrous melody

Softly - gently- close our eyes to awaken

with a new song of joy to begin a symphony of faith

I gave this a once-over, taking in all of the wonderful faith-filled images and ideas, and missed the word that I immediately thought of with respect to this beautiful poem: lullaby. Thanks for your sensitivity to the Spirit and for sharing this this evening, Cindy.
