Wondrous Light of God!

My morning prayer.

As I awake I reflect

on the light of a new day

Before the stars and moon

were created You were alive

Before all life came to be

Your word had breathe

Then You said

Let their be light!

This all powerful light

which You created

is within our soul

This eternal light of love

is burning just as brightly

as when it was first created

This light which overcomes all

sadness, pain, and loneliness

is given to us this day

and each moment

Thanks be to God!
