This is a reflection of a life lived with faith.
We feel as if we are in a dark hole But then we see a light A simple light of hope calling us with its song The hypnotic song of desire and yearning in our hearts lead us on We don’t know where the path leads but we follow it with faith We can’t turn back We must follow our soul Much like the burning bush We reflect on Moses and how he must have felt when called by God He also had questions and doubts but followed his heart The holy light and it’s mesmerizing aria urges us and pulls us closer During the journey we meet challenges and the pain overwhelms But the light connects with our soul and the bond is eternal Along the way there are also celebrations and soul mates Even though they come and go we know they have given us spiritual wisdom which has nourished our soul When we seem to be getting closer to the light it moves further away The lyrics of the song whisper- it’s not time It’s not time- follow me When we have given all our love away and have used the gifts given us to share with others our bodies become frail We suddenly hear the song much louder The light is no longer at a distance The music is now gently saying- now is the time Our eyes can no longer stay awake But just before we sleep the light which our heart yearned for engulfs us and has a serenity sublime We have finally reached the light Our souls desire is now satisfied We are going home and will see Jesus face to face We raise our hands in one last gesture on earth Come oh blessed light! Coming home to Jesus!

On the spiritual path we are always accepting and then letting go, dying and rising, around and around, so for me this is also wonderfully applicable right now, here in this moment. Very beautiful writing, Cindy ;-)
