This is a poem for all of us authors.

An author’s heart
has words which
must be written
It knows no fear

It perseveres in
times of rejection
Beating with the
words deep within

Our soul would weep
if their words were never created
The heart is mindful that
these words are a gift which must be shared

It's not a light which is to hide under a bushel
The heart of an author dances
when the words are cherished and
held in sacred hands

The heart rejoices when the
words also touch someone
else's heart and together they
join a symphony of love

Yes, an author’s heart
lives with courage, compassion,
and faith knowing it's sharing
it's deepest truth

Cindy, I could not agree with you more. I'm happiest when I have something to write... when I have something to write about and it must come out as I see it... as I feel it. I know that I sometimes write what some people may find offensive in my descriptions of men and women and what, sometimes, happens between a man and woman. I like being able to "see" what I write and I want others to see what I see.
Good poem.
Mark
