Day slowly whispers it's

song of good by and

night gently covers the earth

Asking for rest 

We close our eyes and

our imagination takes us

on magical journies

Some day we will sleep

not waking up to the

sights and sounds of our world

Some day we will be going

to our true home and where

our life began

But for now we sleep in the

melody of love 

Peace is our pillow with the

blanket of kindness and forgiveness

to give us warmth and serenity

We hear Jesus sing softly

" Sleep my beloved child

and know I will watch over you

during the night and welcome

you to a new day when the night

becomes light and new possibilities

to embrace my love and then give

it away to all those you meet

Sleep, gently sleep

Close you eyes

Are eyes become heavy as we say

Good night Jesus

Thank you for our breath

and promise of a new and brighter tomorrow
