America, the beautiful,

From sea to shining sea,

A country indivisible,

Isn’t that what we’re supposed to be?

And yet, we choose to divide ourselves

By religion, party and race,

Damaging what our veterans have given,

Destruction we can’t erase.

A people plagued with cruel greed,

Our hearts that harbor such hate,

We must find a way to let go of the blame

Before we find it’s too late.

The stars and stripes respected,

And the freedom in which it gave,

Should remind us of a land united

Granted by our brave.

Is there such a reason for this,

I truly can conjure none,

Let us no longer destroy ourselves

But remember that we are one.
