Dancing on a Rug

Some memories never fade.

You took my hand;
Music from the band
Fell softly on my ear
As you held me dear.

Our steps tarried
As our feet carried
Our bodies over the rug
And we felt the tug.

In the delicious embrace
You held my face
And planted a kiss
I could not miss.

To this day
I feel your body
When I
Dance on a rug.

I like this poem. Visual. I picture a burgandy and gold rug. With tassles, of course.

Make sure you haven't waxed the floor before dancing on the rug. Those unexpected spins will leave us grounded. This was very "light" on poetic feet.
