There's an incredible blind girl who bags groceries near my house. She greets everyone with poise, charm, and wonder. She never fumbles or makes a mistake. I am in awe of her, and I know my feelings are shared by many. Her name is Tiffany, and when asked how she is, she always replies “I’m tiff-erific!’

For Tiffany
(She’s tiff-erific!)

To know her is to love her
With a certainty that’s reliable
She stands out without trying
A truth that’s undeniable.
Her presence always changes you
Whatever your disposition
She awakens the best that’s in you
She’s real not supposition.

Always caring ever smiling
With an understanding grace
There’s an aura that surrounds her
Most notable in her face.
You never see her come or go
But you know when she is there
There’s a certain pure angelic glow
That swishes through the air.

She’s a love affair for one and all
A connection to our souls
She glorifies the best that’s in us
The fulfillment of our goals.
She’s of this world in mind and heart
With charm as well as duty,
She's an endless theme of love’s embrace
A triumph of truth and beauty.

She’s an angel sent from Heaven
As sure as there’s such a place
With a certainty that shows in all she does
You can see it in her face.
Her eyes are clear but cannot see
Her blindness stems from birth
Yet she sees with perfect clarity
With goodness love and mirth.

Breathtakingly beautiful poem.
Tribute to a rich mosaic of human being...With typical charm...sensitive-erudite poet...for reason and in style...you've went out of this 3D "seeing's believing" temporal world...to touch her soul's true-everlasting values, greatly emphasized by the Ephesians 6:6; "Not with eye-service as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart".
Thank you Edward for sharing your verse.

I certainly hope that someone will read this poem to her so that she can see how her beauty shines through from the simple work that she does to earn a living in a world that is not kind to disability of any kind. Kudos to you for writing this wonderful poem for her.

Very occasionally, there is someone who is truly blessed, and chooses to share their blessing with others. We are honoured when we meet such people. You're a lucky man.

Wonderful poetic tribute to this special girl. One of my best friends is a blind Christian who is very strong in His faith. Fact is, he can see more beauty in this world than folks with 20/20 vision. Amen
