Twilight is that time of day
When my worldly thoughts begin to stray
And images of you come slowly into view
I see your face feel your embrace
I know there is no other place
Like this one meant for only me and you.
The warmth of your smile is so inviting
Your eyes sparkle again with delight
My spirit soars high
An angelic choir nearby
Serenades us into the night.
If time were reduced to a minute
I’d devote 60 seconds to you
Then sail off into space
With a smile on my face
In hopes of a new rendezvous.
And so until the very next moment
When fate grants us a day to rejoice
May your thoughts fill my day
In the most perfect way
And I hear your mellifluous voice.
Let all our remaining tomorrows
Be filled with an unending love
And may your dreams and mine
Join and then intertwine
And merge with the stars up above.
Time and tide waits for no man but when you are able to bring out such
beauty in expressions, you have captured time smart friend and not everyone is lucky.....there may be many who envy you!! jk

It's a poet's role to direct that fire of love...to meld two hearts!
