Halloween: Not for the Squeamish

On this ghoulish night among the sights
That we are wont to see
Are wispy wings on spooky things
Where e’er the woe may be.

Soul-less they rise before your eyes
They move so silently
Without a sound they float around
Then shriek and laugh with glee.

They’re daunting and they’re deadly
These demons that devour
With fang like teeth they slide beneath
And then they overpower.

Ghosts goblins poltergeist and such
Have insatiable thirsts for blood
They want yours my friend and in the end
They’re like an angry flood.

Laugh if you dare they really don’t care
How well you live out your days
You’re here to be taken like strips of fried bacon
And ripped from your innocent ways.

And so…
You can’t forgive ‘em you can’t outlive ‘em
These things that go bump in the night
The best you can do is to give them their due
And get far away from their sight.

Like your picture and this poem allows the truthful words, "You can't forgive'em you can't outlive'em."
Enjoy Halloween this year.

The fried bacon line is the best. I rip my teeth into bacon every other morning just after the sun comes up and it's taken its time to flavor my fried egg. Rip. Rip. Snarl. Yummy.

At least Jerry gets up and goes to the bathroom...and I will take this advice to heart, or wheresoever it needs to go...ghosts & demons only exist in the mind, but in mine, many you'd find...-e-
