Of life’s challenges;
We’ve been tested
You and I
Not against each other
But against all that life could throw
At us—
We survived
We thrived
We arrived
Intact and more.
Thru it all
You have been the one
Who steadied my compass
Never doubted my love
Always gave me more
Hope and joy
Than I could ever find
Anywhere else;
And one day we
Will find our place
Out there
Where the angels
Call home
A journey ended
Complete
And still lighting the way
For each other.
