Trust
“This above all: to thine own self be true ; and it must follow, as the night the day,
thou canst not then be false to any man.” --Shakespeare (in Hamlet).
It’s about character
And reliability and honor.
It’s the most cherished human trait
Even greater than love itself although
not as enjoyable nor as
stimulating.
Trust levels the playing field and
makes forgiving a lot easier.
Just by knowing that you are a man or a
woman whose actions are
dependable and honest and caring
means that you have values that
precede your actions and they define who
and what you are.
Always.
Trust means that you have considered
all the other traits and you have
put your honor your integrity and your
actions into a single word that surpasses
them all.
It's the gold standard that makes
you true to yourself.
But trust has a price you must be
willing to pay--
You must never bow down to
it’s impostor not for
gold privilege position or power.
Never sell your soul by
putting loyalty over trust.
