Life, Personally

Each time a leaf falls from a tree
Helped by a swirling breeze
Each day the sun rises and sets
Bringing new life with joyful ease.

Our thirst is quenched—in spurts it seems
Making all that surrounds us grow
Creating rivers lakes and refreshing streams
And Nature’s all aglow.

Within all the visuals hints and cycles
We witness the story of life
If we keep our minds and souls intact
And free from misguided strife.

Life’s a unique and forgiving tale
Of what we do and say and why
Respect and cherish it always
Do not treat it with a sigh.

A guiding star is ours to follow
To help us find our way
Illuminating our chosen path
Unerringly day by day.

In the end it’s not ours to say
About how we carried the day
And whether when or why
We helped others find their way.

Heaven’s gates are always open
From now ‘til eternity
To every one among us
Who embraces life personally..

Very life embracing, indeed. There are certainly things in this poem about living fully, and enjoying it while we are here. We only have one life to live and you are showing the way.

A thoughtful piece that lifted my spirits!

Our guiding Star always available to give
a helping hand and highlight this personal route
we call life…
and If we play our cards right…
The open Gates of Heaven will be our reward…

A lovely, uplifting piece, Edward. You capture the quiet wisdom in nature’s cycles and the way they mirror our own lives. The poem’s gentle reminders to cherish life and follow its guiding light give it a calm, reassuring grace.

A beautiful sentiment accompanied by an equally pacific, bucolic image of harmonious nature's splendid assets, in balance as ever and always with all life, Ed, if we would just abandon our acrimonious, destructive vindictiveness and gaze on such perfection as nature's benedict on with the same grace that it imparts! As an innate pessimist and doom & gloomer, I may be a poor choice to compliment this summation of Spring's promise of renewal. but the total package of inspiration presented here would poor indeed if it didn't reach out to recharge the bleakest, most impoverished soul on this Earth! Thank you!

An interesting way of describing the essences and nuances of life, as having a personality. But it fits. If there is a Mother Nature then she must possess a personality of some kind. I think you described it beautifully.
