Here you are
with the sound
of Verdi
cascading softly
in the air around us.
Close your eyes
while my rough
callused hands
soothe
the supple tones
of your body.
Let me absorb your fears
reminding you
of our sweet paradise
on this lost horizon.
Lost, I am in you now
without pride.
Holding and moving
speaking without words,
listening to the sound
of your beating heart.
In this hallow place
every kiss is sacred
every moan sweet ecstasy.
Quench your thirst
at the tip of my tongue,
feeding your hunger
with all this body has to offer.
Let the stubble of my whiskers
scratch your back.
Breathe with me
riding over and over.
Rising and falling
entranced in each other,
holding you up
and slowly letting you down.
Let me take everything
then surrender you
to a deep peaceful slumber.
Saving nothing
for the cold dark night
that lingers outside these walls.
A dance with you
in the misty twilight.
Save the sunrise
for another place.
A reckoning of emotion
has waited in anticipation,
bubbling over onto the stove
filling the air with steam,
underneath a burning candle
captured in a window pane.
Awesome! Profound! What
can I say, Tim? This is not a
"feeble attempt" as you said.
this is awesome work! I will
look for more...amazing!

Timothy I am weeping freely, this is one the the most beautiul love poems I have ever read, so romantic, yet sweetly sensual. I must read your work with tissues nearby. Would be so wonderful if every man and woman could know this kind of love. Keep writing this classic poetry. You have the soul of the poet.
