No Time Like The Present

There’s no time like the present,

To start your life anew,

When your world has crumbled round your ears,

Come on let’s be honest,

There is nothing else to do,

Nothing ever got fixed up with tears,

Oh you could mope around the homestead,

Just as often as you choose,

Or throw a rage and tear the place apart,

But looking at it logically,

It’s only you who’ll lose,

If you build your world around a broken heart,

Ok she took your money,

And she left you all alone,

Trashed your name to everyone,

That you have ever known,

Cheated on you constantly,

With every man she saw,

But looking on the bright side,

She won’t do that anymore,

So there’s no time like the present,

To start your life anew,

When your world has crumbled round your ears,

Hate destroys the hater,

That’s a saying that is true ,

And life’s too short to spend on wasted tears,

Revenge comes from forgetting,

That you ever knew her name,

You laughed before you met her,

Now you learn to do the same,

Don’t think of getting even,

‘Cause you’ll lose more than you win,

And don’t blame it on her new love,

You should really pity him,

He’s probably going through,

The very things she did to you,

So there’s no time like the present,

To start your life anew,

And pretty soon you’ll see for sure,

That life’s still mighty fine,

And the loneliness you felt before,

Was just a state of mind,

There’s no time like the present,

To start your life anew,

When your world has crumbled round your ears,

Life is an adventure,

And it’s waiting just for you,

And pretty soon the sadness disappears.

There’s no time like the present,
To start your life anew

No truer words were ever spoken, Steve.

Extraterrorestrial Beings v4 by RickthePoetWarrior

Our heroes are revealed for all they are, the final flash of a dying star, for with this pen I do they mar, with hopes I leave ‘em all a scar.
