New Beginnings

Listen my friend, I've a story to tell,
My childhood as you may know, was a living hell.

I asked the Lord Jesus into my heart,
He gave me a beginning, he gave me a new start.

Though I've traveled down some very rough roads,
He's always been there to lighten my load.

Two wonderful sons, and a wife I adore,
How could I ask for anything more.

There's times I've been down and all out of whack,
But the Lord's been there to turn me back.

I feel sorrow for those who are lost and have no hope,
Feeling as though they're at the end of their rope.

All it takes is one simple prayer,
The Lord will come in and always be there.

The love of the Lord fills my soul,
Wherever he leads, I'm willing to go.

No greater love will I ever see,
Than the love of the Lord bestowed on me.
