surrender yourself unto God
Lord, Dear Lord…the answer is yes If the question is do I need You to help me through my self-made mess The answer is yes, Lord…yes The trials, the tribulations, all these tests Chaos, confusion, panic attacks, cold sweats The answer is yes, Lord…yes I need You; I'm disarrayed, despaired, depressed Extreme anxiety, worn down, feeling beyond stretched Lord, Dear Lord, the answer is yes I surrender…I'm tired…Lord, I say yes I surrender to you with everything in me, seeking You to the deepest depth Lord, please just allow me some peace…just a little bit of rest Your will be done, no longer my own… so, Lord, yes I need You more than ever…no longer will I protest My heart and soul aches for You; so, yes, Lord, yes

How openly and honestly this poem cries out to God. Truly, it is only when we see ourselves as completely needy that we call on God from the depths of our hearts. He hears the cries of the humble ones.
I am blessed by this heartfelt poem of surrender.
