Smoldering ashes simmering
With absolutely no glimmering
Not a beautiful remarkable sight
Blackened, charred logs in the fire
Place.
Winter crept in with its bitter cold,
Like a flicker of a flame,
The fireplace needs to roar.
Like a flicker to a flame,
In the darkness lost and undone,
Seeing no light stumbling along the way
Then the flicker of a flame flashed,
It seemed for a moment to enlighten
The way dispelling the darkness
So, others would see the flicker of a flame
Burning brightly and would not stumble
Along the way!
Thank You Abba Father for the flicker of a flame.
