Standing at that intersection,
all alone at that same place again.
Hills of hurt and roads of rejection,
face me as I look ahead.

Now all my dominoes have fallen,
numbness possesses my mind, my soul.
No zest for life is calling,
for me to resume my roles.

Cars drive past in all directions,
each one on its way to its destination;
to that someone who waits for them at home.
No I, I am but a traveler,
on my journey to places that I roam;
and in circles and circles is the caliber
of the turmoil inside and the massacre
of all my dreams and hopes.

No courage or strength can I muster
to face a hostile world,
without consideration for the ones who remain,
the aftermath of false promises and in disdain
I wonder whether this world possesses
true friends and real love in the hearts of man.
I give all up and in my recesses,
Turn to God to hold me and keep me in his plan.

Which road to walk?
Which hill to climb?
Oh dear God give me new life,
for all those that condemn me
are not worth my words, my talk.
Seek my heart, seek and tell me what you find.
Calm my sorrows and my strife.
Let me have peace, security and surrender
to your itinerary mapped out for my life,
No longer will I hinder from
your soft small voice,
which carries me along my path.
