I walk through this life as a woman, but do you really see me as a woman or even a woman you respect?
Do you ooh and aah because my hips are curved and shaped like ships in calm waters? I'm looking at you, looking at me, your eyes they gaze all over me because my walk is with such grace and my balance with style, I am floating in rythm like the winds blowing from side-to-side.
My skin is dark and rich in color, but when you look up and see that my skin is dark and my hair is not long, do you disrespect me by saying, Damn?
My hair is not long, but it 's soft as a feather. My walk like light feet, my mind free like the winds and the love in my heart is as wide as the ocean, deep as the sea, and bright and colorful like a sunny spring day.
A smile in my mind, body and soul, my words they belong only to me, they are mine not yours. Still I am a woman whose walk is full, full in respect that even you cannot deny me my rights.
I am a woman with words of conviction not destruction, I am a woman of gladness not sadness. I walk with a smile, my life is tune and my soul full of gladness.
I am a woman that's mentally as strong as ten men in strength and not even you can keep me down
