My Prayer

Although, you might not ever know
of the prayer I'm sending for you and
your family, I'm trusting that the
Spirit of the Lord will send your heart near
so you'll hear all the prayers sent on your behalf for
your soon return.

I wanna tell you to stay strong in the
Lord, and that he'll watch over you,
If you let him in where he belongs.

Knowing all that he's done,
don't let doubts over rule your trust
especially when you know that
his will shall be done on earth
as it is in heaven.

This prayer isn't a long one, but
it's the one united with many other's
prayed daily for you and the many soldier's
to have a safe return.

Don't stay there too long, and
if it shall happen to be,
I'm praying that you'll leave soon
and if you're not home sooner
than you'd like, just keep holding on
because he's never late.

Be the person you were when you left,
but I know once you're there
things will never be the same.

In the darkest hour of your frustrations,
remember to hold fast to Our Lord's Prayer
because he will deliver you from this evil
and restore your soul.

Don't be doubtful to the recognition
he truly deserves because he is
in good times as well as bad times
the one to be praised.

And when you need someone to lean on
remember Psalms 23rd, The Lord Is My Shepherd;
and you shall not want because thou art with you
and when sleep seems distant, thy rod and thy
staff they will comfort you until you eyes
wake and rise.

In all of our sincerity let in be known in your hearts
that you'll never be alone in this severe mess,
that we are here, there and all over the world
igniting prayer in unity, so by his grace, you and I
are blessed.

So I'm praying that if you didn't leave
with enough of him in you,
then when you return, you'll be able to
shout about telling the world,
and the many who do and don't believe,
that our God is a good, awesome, and able, God
and enough to have lifted a place so dark
into the light.

My prayer didn't seem long but it was
because sometimes when you start
talking to the Lord and he listen's,
there's so much to tell him in such
a short time.

To our Heavenly Father who watches
us in all our daily steps, bless us
and our soldier's, that we shall
never know days like these,
instead have days that
were intended so as we rise
and fall to sleep we will rise and
wake in peace.
