Beyond Goals and Plans, on to Faith

During the first half of my adult life I lived by goals and plans.
I accepted as divine law, "without goals there cannot be success "
and "fail to plan is plan to fail." I had what I considered to be elaborate
and lofty goals and backup plans, sometimes plan A, plan B and
plan C.. I had goals and plans that I believed would give me security
which ultimately my goals and plans were supposed to accomplish.

Now,  embracing the wisdom of insecurity, I accept what is as what is and what will
be as what will be, being in the flow and allowing the Spirit within to direct me while
having the conviction that faith can do it; that is, do everything that I need to have done.
What hope, truth, love, knowledge and wisdom cannot do faith can do it. It is as Jesus said
to the worman who was healed. "Your faith has made you whole."

Faith claims ultimate concern. Regarding faith Paul Tillich asserts,
"If  it claims ultimacy it demands the total fulfillment even if all other
claims have to be subjected to it or rejected in its name." Having goals
and plans will fail to produce fulfillment and happiness. Instead, they
often  result in disappointment, frustration, anxiety, debilitation
and even prematrure demise. 

Faith can do it.
We can walk by faith.
We can live by faith
It's your faith.
Faith  can do it.

Addedum

     " Now, during my September years making plans, setting goals
and giving attentioin to protocol are no longer considered by me to
be a worthy pursuit. Now, I embrace faith more strongly than before
with the awareness and assurance that faith undergirded by grace is
sufficient for living a full life. Now I see clearly that much of what I
considered heretofore to really matter does not matter, and that the
spiritual, not the material, is what really matters and is worthy to
have preeminence in my  life. ...For a certainty, "It is not by might or
by  power." It is by grace through faith."
