I dream of a time in the ancient past
When first our souls rose entwined
Lost in a love forever to last
To the Gods in the heavens we were as blind.
Whenever I look at you, I see your smile,
I see the love light in your eyes
I remember the days that I walked a mile
For your warm embrace and gentle sigh.
Some times when I see you, my eyes fill with tears
Within, my Love rises on Joyful wings
At the way you comfort me, chase away my fears.
Whenever you touch me, my heart it sings.
I dream of a time in the ancient past

In that ancient cave on the Palentine.
Down through the ages, wherever we go
